The HP StorageWorks Modular Smart Array 1000 (MSA1000) Small Business SAN G2 Kit is a 2 Gb Fiber Channel storage solution designed for our Small to Medium size business customers. The storage solutions includes the MSA1000, a new 4/10q Fiber Channel Switch, two new HP StorageWorks QLE220 Fiber Channel HBAs for Windows and Linux, cables, optics, easy to use SAN installation software, management CD and documentation.
This Small Business SAN G2 Kit is designed to reduce the complexity, expense, and risk of SAN deployment. The MSA1000 is a scaleable, high performance storage system built with investment protection in mind. The modular design of the MSA1000 allows the user to easily add storage capacity as needed. With the addition of two HP StorageWorks MSA30 disk enclosures with space for forty-two enterprise-class drives, maximum storage capacity grows to 12.6 TB. With additional host bus adapters, a customer can support up to 9 hosts with access to a single MSA1000 for storage consolidation. All necessary configuration & management programs are included and there are no unexpected charges for extra licenses as your capacity needs grow or as you attach more servers.
