This complete kit allows you to connect iPods, MP3 players, portable drives, digital camcorders and more to your desktop computer. As well, the card supports hot-swapping, so you'll be able to plug, unplug, and swap your FireWire peripherals with ease. The kit includes a FireWire cable and a copy of ULEAD's VideoStudio SE Basic video editing software, making it easy to capture and edit video from your digital video camcorder. Installation is a breeze with the option of using a PCI 5V / PCI-X 3.3V slot. Guaranteed to work with both PCs and Macs, the PCI1394_2 is WHQL certified and designed to work with Microsoft Windows XP.
Currently there are two versions of the PCI1394_2 available. The functionality is identical on both cards with two external 1394a ports and one internal 1394a port. The differences are only in the appearance of the card and the type of external ports.
